Holiday Island Happenings:

  • HIFDA Spring White Elephant Sale - May 25th, 8am to 1:30pm at Fire Station #2 (in the Park; north of Veterans Park) - . Furniture, home decor, household goods, books, patio furniture, outdoor equipment and much more. Proceeds benefit HI Fire Department. (May 27th Rain date if necessary).
  • HI Pools Open - May 25th @ 8am. Lunch special - hot dog, chips & soda for $3; served 11am - 2pm at Rec Center.
  • HI Rotary Party in the Park - May 25th, 4-8pm @ Pavilion. Beginning @ 4pm a pulled pork meal will be available; 4:45pm Memorial Ceremony; 5-8 live music by Swing & A Miss; opportunity to win a flat-screen TV -- tickets: $8, available from any HI Rotary Club member or at HI Cornerstone Bank & Arvest Eureka Springs branch.   • HI Chamber of Commerce Chicken Dinner with Karaoke - May 31st @ the Clubhouse beginning @ 5:30pm. Silent auction. click here for info
  • HI Chamber of Commerce Fireworks Golf Tournament - June 1; 8am shotgun start. Proceeds benefit future fireworks displays. Call 253-7700 for information.  Get a team and what a fun way to support our fireworks!
  • HI Community Blood Drive - June 3rd, 11am - 4pm @ Elks Lodge. Bring photo ID.
  • HI Garden Club Award 2013; June 10th deadline to nominate your favorite garden -- call 253-2531 or 253-5809. Criteria: owners must be HI residents, garden must be tended by owners, curb appeal and variety of textures and colors
  • 4th of July Celebration - beginning @ 2pm and concluding @ dusk with fireworks display.  Make plans to enjoy Independence Day right here @ Holiday Island. A fun filled day of activities sponsored by HI Chamber of Commerce.
  • July 16th - 19th, HI Junior Summer Camp. This is a free camp for ages 7-16 including a variety of activities.  Call 253-9511 or 253-9890 for more information or to pre-register. Our youth are our future and the American Legion is on the front lines supporting/sponsoring programs helping our youth to develop healthy minds and bodies while growing up in a safe environment. Scholarships, American Legion Baseball, Boys State, Oratorical Contests, Just Say No to Drugs, Child Welfare Program and so many more programs to provide for our youth.

    Holiday Island Campground Open for 2013 Season with New Hosts - Danny and Sherry Albright

    Please drop by the Campground and welcome the Albrights as our new hosts.  Danny and Sherry, from Galena, Kansas, are Holiday Island property owners who have enjoyed our campground the last couple of years. The Albrights love Holiday Island and enjoy the many recreational opportunities available. To reserve your spot, contact Danny on his cell: 417-850-0944 .

    Please come by and check out the grounds or just to visit! The Holiday Island Campground will be open until October 31st.

    Holiday Island Marina Open for 2013 Season


    The Holiday Island Marina, operated by Alan and Brenda Krier, is now open for the 2013 season. Thanks to the Krier's cooperation the last few years, EZ Dock donated a new marina sign. EZ Dock utilizes the area by the Marina and the Point for training sesssions for their staff. To show their appreciation they donated the nice sign.

    For the 7th year, Holiday Island was named a 2012 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management. To view the press release,

    Dottie Hill, president of Holiday Island's Tree City. A double blossom Cherry tree was selected for Tree City's donation this year.  Thanks to those contributing to the collection jars located in the community.

    Holiday Island Garden Club Observes Tree Dedication Ceremony

    Wednesday, April 17th, the Holiday Island Garden Club dedicated a beautiful tree as a tribute to William L. Lubbers, sone of Mike and Karen Lubbers. President Holly Tabler thanked those attending, opened the ceremony then introduced Judy Germani to deliver a moving dedication tribute, (click here to read).

    Rec Center & 9-Hole Golf Course

    Current Rec Center Hours : 9:00am - 5:00pm (weather permitting); beginning May 25th: 8am - 8pm.
    Current 9-Hole Hours: 9-Hole Course opens @ 9am, except Mondays when it does not open until 10am.
    Swimming Pools: Both pools are now closed for the season

The Clubhouse Ballroom is great for larger gatherings, the historic Barn provides a rustic setting, picnics are perfect at the Pavilion, and smaller meeting rooms are available.
