KESA and the Holiday Island Chamber’s “Taste of Holiday Island” was a successful remote, the largest so far – 18 participants and 6 businesses held open houses.  The weather could not have been more perfect for January.

 

The area businesses and an anonymous donor donated $1,045 worth of prizes for the drawing.  Entrants for the drawing were from 14 different cities:  Holiday Island, Beaver, Eureka Springs, Golden, Eagle Rock, Berryville, Green Forest, Garfield, Siloam Springs, Springdale, Cassville, Branson, Tulsa, and St. Louis.

 

The Grand Prize ($945) winner, Brian Lee of Eureka Springs, had registered @ Powell Hardware; 2nd Place ($55), Paul Beard entered @ JB Auto Repair, and 3rd Place ($45) winner, Gretchen Stark entered @ Island Health and Fitness.

 

The pizza eating contest had the larges crowd so far to watch contestants:  Kevin Crosson - HISID District Manager, Barry Storie - HISID Golf Pro, Jack Deaton - HISID Fire Chief, and Jerry Harris - winner of contest to compete.  Barry Storie was the winner.

 

The “Spring Out to Holiday Island” remote will be April 1 and 2; make plans to participate or come and enjoy.
