Upcoming Junior Programs

Parents and grandparents: click here to view this summer's Junior program schedule. Mark your calendar and make plans to enjoy these free golf, tennis, and camping programs sponsored by HISID.
  • VETERANS AND SPOUSES - May 22nd, Peachtree Village Assisted Living, 5 Park Drive. You are invited to attend a FREE public information seminar to learn from an expert, Todd Whatley, JD, CELA, about available funds through the Veterans Administration that might help defray the cost of assisted lving or nursing home care for qualifying veterans and spouses. Please RSVP by calling 479-253-9933. This same information is also going to be provided earlier in the day at a Lunch & Learn; noon - 1pm, Mercy Hospital Berryville/Medical Arts Conference Room; sack lunch provided.
  • The H.I. Theater Guild will present "The Dixie Swim Club", Clubhouse on May 24, 25 and 26 (Thursday-6:30 dinner theater; Friday & Saturday-7:30 play only) Call 479-981-2638 tickets and/or info; tickets also available at the Rec Center and Cornerstone Bank.
  • 2nd Annual HI Rotary "Party in the Park" - Saturday, May 26th, 4-8pm at the HI Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion.  Click here for more detailed information
  • 4th Annual HI Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic - Saturday, June 2nd.  Your participation and support in this golf tournament will help make our July 4th fireworks a "Bigger, Better, Blast"! Click here for entry form.
  • Adult Moonlight Swim, Sunday, June 10th; 7:30 - 10pm, click here for more details
  • HI Fire Department Golf Tournament, Thursday, June 14th and Friday, June 15th .  Click here for fish fry flyer. Entry forms:  9-Hole  18-Hole
  • Friends of the Barn - Meeting/Potluck, Sunday, June 24th; 2pm. Everyone welcome; bring dish to share - iced tea and water available. Entertainment by Jerry RunnerSmith 3-4:30pm.   • HI Independence Day Celebration - Wednesday, July 4th .  Bring your family and friends to enjoy this afternoon/evening family fun.  Food, vendors and family games will be available throughout the afternoon, along with live entertainment until the fireworks display @ dusk.  Spronsored by the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce and HISID.  HISID Fire Department along with their volunteers will help make sure your 4th of July is safe!

Please welcome Dan Schrader as HISID's new water/wastewater superintendent; his first day was Monday, May 14th.  Dan comes to Holiday Island from Grand Lake, Colorado where was superintendent of the Three Lakes Water and Sanitation District.  Dan has extensive experience in the water/wastewater field beginning in 1989 at Greenwood, Arkansas as an operator and working up to management. 

Recreation Center

Rec Center staff are all working hard preparing for the busy summer season.  Activities are picking up, so be sure to check the event calendar . Click here for a Rec Center update.
