Duplicate Bridge Clubs (for November,
2012)
The bridge clubs will again sponsor an 8 week "Beginning Bridge" course starting Tuesday,
February 5th and every following Tuesday thru March. The lessons will be
free and Bob Dray will be the instructor. Look for more
details on this course in the December and January issues of
this newsletter.
How to get in play: For the newcomer it is imperative to
call, confirming scheduled games until they learn to navigate the system.
General instruction: Games are open to all bridge players whatever your previous
experience. You need to come with a partner or an arranged partner through the
club director (by calling the phone references below preferably 2-5 days ahead
of your chosen game if you need a partner). It is a great opportunity to
improve your game, also to experience modern bidding and the play of the cards
as currently practiced in all contract bridge whether duplicate, or the more
common party bridge.
