Service Area: All of Carroll County except within the city limits of Green Forest and Eureka Springs

Service Cost:                 Based on miles per destination:
                 1 - 10 miles = $2
                 11 - 20 miles = $5
                 Over 20 miles = $7

Scheduling: 8am - 3 pm; 1 to 7 days in advance

Some flexibility in ride time is necessary due to long distances covered.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not apply in this area because there are no fixed routes. All rides are on an availability basis.

Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) has been providing transportation service to the public in Northwest Arkansas since 1978.

Since Holiday Island is not within an ORT Fixed Route area, to schedule a ride, call ORT's Call Center: (479) 756-5901between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Rides are available on a first come first served basis for non-ADA Riders.

When calling the Call Center be prepared to tell the Customer Service Representative (CSR) the following information:

* Your name.

* The date you will be traveling.

* Your pick-up address (including building/business names, specific pick-up information, landmarks).

* The time you would like to be picked up OR the time you need to reach your destination.

* The physical address of your destination (including specific drop-off information).

* Telephone number at your destination.

* If a personal care attendant (PCA) will travel with you.

* If guests other than your PCA will travel with you (including children).

* If you will be using a mobility device

* If you will need assistance to and from front doors

When scheduling rides for specifics times, be sure to allow plenty of time to finish your appointment in order to meet the vehicle at your scheduled pick-up time. Be aware of opening and closing times at your destination to avoid waiting outside the building before or after business hours. When scheduling your trips, please follow these suggestions:

* Allow adequate travel time to reach your destination, including weather and traffic.

*Allow extra time for the pick-up and drop-off of other passengers before reaching your destination
